TKTC – To Kill The Comic.

After running TKTC Herod for 16 weeks, followed by about an 8 week hiatus, I’ve decided to pull the plug.  This is/was the first Christian webcomic from Rival Comics, and it was the first of a plotted 3-part series.

TKTC, or To Kill The Christ, was a series meant to follow the life of the Christ, specifically focusing on those who would try to have him killed.  The first part, titled Herod, focused on the story of the Magi, depicted in the Gospel of Matthew, that followed a star into Bethlehem and warned the Christ child and his family about an attempt on his life by king Herod.

The Pigeon Hole Revisited.

What are you living for?  Where do you find your inspiration?  What makes you do the things you do?  Are you looking for something?  Most people are.  Sometimes it helps to take a look back at where you were at some point in the past to get a more clear picture of where you’re going in the future.  Thanks to an email from a friend and some advice from another, I’ve decided to take a look back at when I started this blog, and the reasons for doing it then, so that I might be able to remind myself of where I was and where I need to be. Osama Tsunami and the Comic-kazi kid!

Finally coloring this long overdue t-shirt

Wow, what a week!  We’ve seen the most wanted man in the world shot dead and put to rest at sea.  We’ve seen how devastating events like the Japan tsunami can be, even for small towns like Celina, OH.  And I’ve seen my newborn son spend his second week on Earth…and inevitably had no time for art!

With all the crazy things going on;  With uncertainty about money and jobs, new lives to care for, the busy lives of a growing family, and grand events all over the news, it’s kind of hard to fathom ever getting our lives under control. We can’t. Thank God.

It’s been a long time.

Welcome to the family, Steven Jr.!

It has been a really, really long time since I’ve posted in this blog.  I’m sure I wasn’t missed.  I haven’t posted in about 4 months, and in that time a lot of very exciting things have happened.  I’ll give you a quick run down, then I will hopefully get better at updating this blog.

Looking for a cover artist…

I am currently looking for a cover artist for my upcoming webcomic, TKTC: Herod.  I was going to do the cover myself, but really like to see separate cover artists so I figured I’d throw this offer out there.  I am looking at launching the comic very soon (late this week or early next week), and plan on having the cover ready for launch.  I will only need one cover and can do all of the lettering and everything else myself.  I am asking for artwork only.  If you’re interested in helping out because of interest in the comic or just to get some exposure, let me know and we will figure something out.

You can reply to this blog post, email me, hit me up on Twitter or on Facebook.
