Looking for a cover artist…

I am currently looking for a cover artist for my upcoming webcomic, TKTC: Herod.  I was going to do the cover myself, but really like to see separate cover artists so I figured I’d throw this offer out there.  I am looking at launching the comic very soon (late this week or early next week), and plan on having the cover ready for launch.  I will only need one cover and can do all of the lettering and everything else myself.  I am asking for artwork only.  If you’re interested in helping out because of interest in the comic or just to get some exposure, let me know and we will figure something out.

You can reply to this blog post, email me, hit me up on Twitter or on Facebook.

TKTC: Herod concept art

Yesterday I started concept art for King Herod for my upcoming webcomic, TKTC: Herod.  I hope to start some concept art of the 3 wise men, who I have decided are Persians, later today and hope to have it posted in my facebook sketchbook.  I have most of the first part of this series outlined and should start actual writing and art very soon.  The comic will be hosted on Drunk Duck.

Massacre of Innocents

I am continuing with my webcomic idea…well sort of.  I wanted to start with a retelling of the Exodus then move onto other unique retellings of other classic Bible stories, but instead I decided I’m going to start with a 3 part story about the Christ.

This won’t be just any story of the Christ, though.  I want to start a Rival mini-series called To Kill The Christ.  Each story will focus on someone who targeted the Christ as a central character rather than Jesus himself.  For example, the first story will be called Massacre of Innocents, and will be about King Herod and his attempt to kill the child king of the Jews.  The following stories will chronical the betrayal, arrest, and murder of the Christ, all focusing on those who would have him killed.

I thought this would be an interesting way to tell this story and started oitlining the first last night.  I am looking for help with writing and fact checking, if anyone is interested.  I should be able to start concept art very soon and will post some of that to my blog.  If all goes well and I actually finish the project, I will move on to the Exodus as originally planned.

EXODUS: the webcomic

image

Ever since the legal woes that tore apart my last webcomic project, Captive, I’ve been trying to find a new webcomic idea to work on.  Something that would be worth my time because it would likely take a long time to complete.

My last project was a bit stressful with a weekly update schedule when I also had work, school, a wife and two kids.  Coming to the realization that maintaining a webcomic is just too time consuming when you have so many other important things going on in life would be enough for most artists to throw in the towel, and I have to admit that I’ve often thought that my comic making days were over, but I think I may finally have an idea worth putting on paper…the Exodus.
