As a long time psoriasis sufferer, I often feel like a leper.  It is often depressing and even faith shaking.  Luckily, as I drift further into solitude, separating myself from the world for fear of what they might think and say, I find more and more solace in the word.  I wanted to take a second to list some of my favorite verses that help me deal with my disease.  If you are a psoriasis sufferer or know anyone who is, these might be helpful to you too…enjoy!

The thorn of my flesh

I have suffered with psoriasis since I was about 9 (that’s about 17 years for those who are counting), and it is the thorn in my flesh.  It has caused me a great deal of pain and embarrassment over those years, and, despite lofty and expensive efforts, I have yet to find any sort of effective solution to the “problem”.  Perhaps, however, I’m not meant to find a solution at all.  Perhaps this is one big, red, itchy, painful, disgusting blessing in disguise.
